Bouldering is a form of rock climbing that involves climbing without the use of ropes or harnesses, typically on shorter walls or "boulders". Climbers use padded mats or crash pads to protect themselves from falls. Bouldering emphasises strength, technique, and problem-solving, as climbers must navigate complex and often challenging routes using only their hands, feet, and wits. With a focus on fun and social interaction, bouldering has become an increasingly popular form of fitness and recreation for people of all ages and skill levels.
Bouldering is a sport that anyone can enjoy, regardless of their age, gender, or fitness level. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced athlete, there are routes and challenges that will cater to your abilities. With the right equipment, instruction, and practice, anyone can climb and experience the thrill of reaching new heights.
At our climbing gym, we welcome climbers of all ages and skill levels. However, for safety reasons, we do have an age limit of 12+ years old. Children under the age of 16 must also be supervised by an adult at all times while in the gym. We believe that climbing is a fun and rewarding activity for kids and adults alike, and we strive to provide a safe and welcoming environment for everyone who enters our doors. So bring your family and friends down to our gym and experience the excitement of climbing together!
We strive to create a safe and supportive environment where climbers of all backgrounds and abilities can feel comfortable pushing their limits and improving their skills. At our gym, we believe that climbing is for everyone, and we are dedicated to making sure that everyone who enters our doors feels valued and respected. With this in mind, we have a few 'Crux Culture' policies in place; 1. Keeping your shirt on while climbing 2. Asking before giving advice on a climb 3. Being mindful of others around you. 4. Inclusivity - we welcome ALL climbers into our space
Absolutely! We have quite a few regular doggos who come to the gym and we have a number of dog beds and bowls available. We just require that they remain on their leash and tied to a secure spot to keep them safe.
